NOVICE NOMINATION FORM

Eligibility for novice competition is conditional on submission of a completed Novice Horse Application Form

Eligibility Declaration:
I hereby declare that the nominated horse has not:

  • Won a Ladies and/or Open barrel race;
  • Won a combination of 4 Junior events in any association (1D) and/or 4 Novice barrel races;
  • Won a 1st Division title/buckle in any ABHA association or any rodeo event.

I understand that:

  • Points will be awarded based on performance in Novice event
  • Points will accumulate from the date of nomination; any prior points will not count.
  • No points will be awarded for a knocked drum.
  • In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined on a countback (most first placings).
  • If the horse breaks novice status during the year, it will remain eligible for the award for the season.

Nomination Fee: $30 (paid on submission).
